Fosters urgently needed
Miami Valley Vizsla Club Rescue (MVVC) has a story to tell and needs lots of help.
They are caring for a refugee from a puppy mill who escaped who now has a litter of pups.
No microchip! People have been seeing her roam since winter. She is as skinny as a rail. Not catchable! This past Monday she was seen in a food bin and they closed the lid on her to finally catch her. Thanks to Jean Wolf took her vetted her and cleaned her & her 7 pups.
The first photo is the day she was found w/ 7 pups. The rest are Wednesday. She finally has relaxed and laid down. I’m assuming strays drink as much fresh water as they can at a time. She pees boat loads! Inside 🤪Thank goodness she is in a dog friendly house!! Pups at 6 weeks old are still feeding from mom! 😳
She was a bit of a hussy and babies daddies are beloved to be basset, boxer, & lab🤣
So....what help do we need?
FOSTER HOMES- one for each pup and one for Mom. NO TWO pups can go to same foster. We need the fosters to keep them until they are 16 weeks old. Rescue will pay for Vet and food (see link for donating)
We are trying to foster them until they are old enough to de-sex as rescue cannot place intact dogs.
Yes, you can be a failed foster
Remember that these are semi feral dogs
Fosters need to do some puppy classes-important for socialization.
We (the other OH Vizsla Rescue) are helping with this emergency. All donations can be tax deductible as Buckeye is a 501c3. We simply are helping pay for expenses with donations.
